With the classroom instruction and one-on-one coaching session as a backdrop, one manager wrote the following concise, clear summary.

Give me the big picture and I will take charge and make things happen. My ability to analyze and synthesize information from a variety of sources gives me a creative approach to problem solving. I am an energetic person who likes and needs a busy world. I am dependable - timelines and commitments are very important to me.

I enjoy assuming a leadership role and am driven to accomplish anything I see as important. I tend to take an overly optimistic approach and believe that all challenges can be overcome. I make decisions quickly and am energized by deadlines.

I love being with other people and enjoy creating a motivating supportive environment. I am very open and comfortable in expressing my ideas and support for others. In most situations I meet concerns head-on and give critical feedback when required.

Don't expect me to go in a straight conventional line to a goal. Under pressure the excitement of a new task will keep me from attending to the details of the current assignment. I need others to help keep me focused on the realities of the details.

I need to be more patient with others when they take a more craftsmanship approach to tasks, are making decisions more carefully or are less conventional in their approach. Under pressure I have trouble letting go and delegating. This is often because my optimistic approach has caused me to be unrealistic about what can be accomplished in a given time period and I have over-committed. I feel I would be rushing or frustrating others so I tend to hold on to tasks myself. Although I don't appreciate the realists in the group - I need their input to balance me.

Because I love to express myself and my ideas I may hog the spotlight and need to be reminded by others that they need some space and privacy.
