In February of 1988 when I arrived at the Calgary Olympic Village I had over 150 requests for media interviews; everyone wanted to know what sport psychology was all about. By 1992 I was teaching in the Executive Development Programs at Queen's University - coaching and performance psychology had hit the boardroom.
Today, leaders in all fields recognize that coaching skills, self-awareness, emotional discipline and mental fitness are critical to performing at high levels under pressure and staying healthy in the process. I discovered the power of these pillars of high performance in the laboratory of Olympic level sport, and I've spent the last 20 years bringing them to businesses worldwide. The demand for these skills was such that I could not do it alone, and the result was Performance Coaching Inc. (PCI)
Founded by Sandra Stark and I in 1990, PCI is an organization of exceptional trainers/coaches. We offer rewarding, results-focused programs that cross all disciplines and are adaptable to all environments where excellence under pressure is necessary. We are as at home on the pool deck as we are in the boardroom.
Everyone at PCI is a high performer. They excel at what they do and have proven their mettle in the performance arena. What truly separates them from the pack is their ability to teach from their own foundations in line with the PCI principle of 'practicalness'. Practicalness means programs built around the fundamental ideas, skills, and tools of high performance that can be quickly understood and used immediately to drive results.
We are experts in high performance.
We always strive to optimize the investment being made by the individual and by the organization. We guarantee improved performance for our clients and we always deliver what we promise.
